Did you know that Emperor Constantine, in the 4th century, was the man responsible for merging the New Testament Faith with the prevailing Sun-god worship of the Roman Empire? This fact is confirmed by no less than seven authorities on church history. Because of this, we have inherited the un-Scriptural 'Sunday instead of the Sabbath', the un-Scriptural Christmas, and the un-Scriptural Easter with all its fertility symbols. All three of these feat-days were through and through pagan feast-days devoted to the Sun-god!

We further discover that the True faith was Hellenised in Alexandria and later on Romanised in Rome. Our heavenly Father's Name was substituted by Greek and Latin names which the pagans used for their Sun-deity or their Sky-deity, namely Kurios, Theos, and Dominus. At this stage we want to affirm that we believe every word of the Greek New Testament, but regard it only as a translation of the Hebrew/Aramaic original. No less than 16 different New testament scholars have come forward and stated that the New Testament, in part or entirely, was originally inspired in Hebrew/ Aramaic.

Besides that, did you know that our Saviour was not called Christos (Christ) or Iesous (Jesus) by His people? Think for yourselves: Would a Hebrew virgin, who became the mother of our Messiah, give her Child a Greek name, Iesous? No, she gave Him a Hebrew name, Yeshua (Matt. 1:21). As was the case with the substitute names for the Father, we discover that here too, the substitute Greek name, Iesous, derives from or is directly related to Ieso, the Greek female healing Sun-deity, according to information obtained from three authoritative sources!

From the Germanic (Teutonic) languages the words Herr and Gott came into the Faith, to replace the Name YHWH (Yahweh). Both Herr and Gott came from pagan religions and were actually used as names for their Sun-gods, and can be traced even further back to Canaanite, Egyptian and Aryan or Indo-Germanic Sun-worship. Likewise many names of Sun-deities, and also words used by the pagans to pay tribute to their Sun-deities' solar character, e.g. Holy, Hallow, Sanctify, Sacred, Glory, etc. entered the Church - now being applied to our Father and His Son!

In order to accommodate the pagans with their Sun-worship and other sins, those Scriptures (particularly the Law) which defy any compromise with continued and wilful sinning, were either ignored, explain away or spiritualised. This abatement or shunning or annulment of the Moral Law, the Ten Words (commandments) amounts to lawlessness - in varying degrees. This has continued on, right up to this day! A host of arguments are continually being offered as to why this or that Moral Law is not being kept - all being attempts to cover up that original merger with pagan Sun-worship!

Furthermore, many Hebrew and Greek words were translated incorrectly in the Latin Vulgate, and centuries later also in the German and English translations of the Scriptures, thereby keeping innocent believers ignorant of plain Scriptural truths. It is generally admitted that many Scriptural words were translated 'theologically', or translated with 'dynamic equivalents', instead of translating them literally and therefore truthfully. But even worse are innumerable books, sermons and Bible studies that interpret, reinterpret, reason away, give a man-made commentary, give 'a new meaning' to a Scriptural fact, spiritualise etc. - all meaning well, but still keeping people in bondage to sin. Every conceivable effort was made, and is still being made, to cover up and explain away the adoption of pagan worship which Constantine and the Roman Church effected, and especially the un-Scriptural doctrines that have persisted since the 4th century.

Some of the newer translations rectify these mistranslated words and are more truthful with important words such as anomia (lawlessness) and anomos (lawless). Read these correctly translated in Matthew 7:23 and Matthew 13:41-42 in the RAV, NASB, Rotherham's Emphasized Bible, NWT, Ferrar Fenton's Translation, Dr. Bullinger's The Companion Bible, and all the Greek-English Interlinears. The message is very clear: Our Messiah says that when He returns, His angels will cast all the "lawless" believers into the furnace of fire! Do you believe our Mighty One, our Messiah, or do you believe man? Earthly human beings are fallible, but Yeshua Messiah never!

Yeshua Messiah, our Great Revelator, reveals this to us in Revelation 12:1 RAV, which reads as follows, "Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a Woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars." The Church, as a result of Emperor Constantine's intervention and direction, got mixed up with the worship of the sun, moon and stars - the host of heaven. This worship of the sun, moon and stars was endowed to all the [heathen] peoples (Deut. 4:19, NEB or GNB). The Almighty turned Himself away from His people Israel, at least once if not several times, and gave them also up to worship the host of heaven (Acts 7:42). This He did because they did not abide by the Living Words (Deut. 4:13 Hebrew text), or the Covenant (Psalms 105:8 and Deut. 4:13). The New Covenant is the same as the Eternal Covenant (Hebrews 13:20). The definition of the New Covenant is the Law of Yahweh, our Father, written into our hearts and in our minds (Hebrews 8:10; 10:16).

The Church of Rome did not accept these Ten Living Words unchanged - especially not the sign of the Eternal Covenant, the Sabbath (Exodus 31:16-17). Therefore the Almighty again gave the Church over to the worship of the host of heaven (Revelation 12:1). The prophetic warning about the True Worship which is mixed with Sun-worship is clearly described for us in Ezekiel 8. In this chapter the Almighty refers to these components of Sun-worship as "wicked abominations."

The Roman Church changed the Sabbath of Yahweh to Sunday. Thereby they changed the Fourth Commandment and they boast about it - a change which is nowhere to be found in the Scriptures. Yet we continue in this obvious sin, having been made "drunk with the wine of fornication" which Rome (Babylon) has given the inhabitants of the earth to drink of. If the translators would only have translated Hebrews 4:9 truthfully and literally, we all could have seen the plain command from the Apostle, that we have to keep the Sabbath, which all agree, is the seventh day of the week! Read this clear command in Hebrews 4:9 in Dr. Rotherham's Emphasized Bible, Dr Lamsa's Lamsa Bible and Dr. Wilson's Emphatic Diaglott.

The final outcome of all these attempts is that the simple message of Salvation, the Glad Tiding of Him who save His people "from their sins" (Matthew 1:21), has been set aside. He gave Himself to "redeem us from all lawlessness" (Titus 2:14 Greek text). The Son of Elohim came to "destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). The works of the devil is sin. Sin is lawlessness or transgression of the Law of Yahweh (1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20; 4:15; Exodus 20:20). This plain message of Salvation, this simple Glad Tidings, is the ONLY important message of the New Testament!

After Yeshua touches a seeking sinner and forgives her or her, He then commands that person to "Go and sin no more" (John 5:14; 8:11). The Apostles also tell us that we are to sin no more after receiving Yeshua as Saviour (Romans 6:1-2; 6:16-19; 7:22-26; 1 Peter 2:24; 4:1-2; 1 John 3:3-10; 5:18). Can we wilfully keep on sinning if we love Him who first loved us?

Our Messiah emphatically stresses the necessity for keeping His Father's Commandments if we are to enter Eternal Life (Matthew 19:17; Luke 10:28; John 12:50; Revelation 22:14). The Apostles did likewise and commands us to keep the Commandments. Paul says, "I charge you to keep the Commandments unstained" (1 Timothy 6:14 RSV - "Commandment" used as a synonym for "Commandments" as we very often find in Scripture). Paul further stresses the necessity for Commandment-keeping in 1 Corinthians 7:19; Romans 2:26-29; 3:31; 7:12 & 22. James also stresses it in James 2:10-12. John stresses it in 1 John 5:3 and 2 John v. 6. Apart from stressing it in the Evangels, the Messiah finally emphasises it in Revelation 12:17; 14:12; and 22:14.

This then is the plain Glad Tidings of the Kingdom: Yeshua came to seek and to save those that are lost and to redeem them from lawlessness. In this Kingdom Yeshua rules. He wants to be the Ruler of your life and my life. This kingdom cannot be a kingdom if the King does not rule according to rules. A kingdom cannot be a kingdom if it has no rules. The rules by which Yeshua rules in His Father's Kingdom is the Law - that same Law of His Father which He magnified in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5 to 7).

However, in the early centuries this plain Glad Tidings (Evangel) became Hellenised and Romanised, it was changed to accommodate the heathen and it became influenced through the infiltration of the half-Christian Gnostic sects: the Marcionites, Valentinians, Manicheans, Mithraists, etc. Paul explicitly warns us about this in Acts 20:29, which reads, "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock." Yeshua Himself reveals the meaning of "wolves". He tells us that wolves in sheep's clothing are those prophets and believers who "work lawlessness" (anomia), as we read in Matthew 7:15-23. This is exactly what happened back there in those early centuries, because those Gnostics despised the Law! Paul further warns us against this "other evangel" in 1 Timothy 6:3-4; Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Corinthians 11:4, and 2 Timothy 4:3-4.

The "other evangel" is explained most clearly by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 in that wonderful prophecy about "the man of lawlessness" or "the mystery of lawlessness". Many call it "the Great Apostasy," and well-nigh everybody believes this chapter is describing the Anti-Messiah. As we read this important passage in the RAV, NASB, NIV, NWT, Emphasized Bible, or any of the Greek-English Interlinears, we realise that "lawlessness" is the salient feature of this Great Apostasy! Paul further elucidates and prophesies in 2 Timothy 4:4 that after his day, people "will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths" (Greek text). The NEB reads "mythology". Paul also warns us against "philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men" (Colossians 2:8). These are precisely those things which were adopted into the Church in the early centuries, namely: pagan myths or mythology (pagan religions). Greek Neoplatonic philosophy, vain deceit and traditions of men.

The prophet Jeremiah also tells us in Jeremiah 23 that in the end-time we will be made aware of this. He says in verse 20, "In the latter days you will understand it perfectly." He then speaks out against the religious leaders who have forsaken the plain Scriptural truths of Yahweh, and says in verse 36, "And the message of Yahweh you shall mention no more. For every man's word will be his message, for you have perverted the Words of the living Elohim, Yahweh of Hosts, our Elohim" (Hebrew text). This is exactly what happened in those early centuries and has continued on, till this day, namely: the word of man has usurped the Word of Yahweh! In verse 27 he reprimands them for forgetting the Name of Yahweh for Baal - Baal being the Sun-deity.

Jeremiah further prophesies about the end-time awakening and says in Jeremiah 16:19 as follows, "O Yahweh ... in the Day of Trouble - the nations shall come to You ... and say, 'Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, futility (vanity)'". The result? The Mighty One says in verse 21, "and they shall know that My Names is Yahweh." Yeshua Himself reprimanded the religious leaders of His day, and also reprimands us today for our vain or futile worship: We have allowed commandments of men, or traditions of men, to usurp the Word of Yahweh, the Commandment of Yahweh. Read this in Mark 7:7-13 and Matthew 15:6-9. Indeed, we have inherited a multitude of vain (futile) things and lies from the Roman Church. These lies (pagan feasts and symbols, names of Sun-gods, all adopted from pagan religion or mythology) will indeed keep us from entering the New Jerusalem! (Revelation 21:27 & 22:15).

Our Messiah prophesied that in the end-time we will become aware of the fact that "the Abomination of Desolation" is standing in the Temple or in the heart of the Messianic Faith (Matthew 24:15). Most commentators say this is Zeus, the Sky- or Sun-deity. We accept this wholeheartedly. But the words "abomination" and "desolation" (more correctly: devastation or laying waste) give us further clues. In Ezekiel 8 the Almighty called Sun-worship a "wicked abomination". The word "devastate" describes to us how the True Worship has indeed been devastated when Emperor Constantine merged his Sun-worship with the Messianic Faith - that which we have inherited (read also Daniel 9:26-27).

Satan's only aim is to keep people in bondage to sin, in bondage to lawlessness (John 8:31-34, Romans 6:16-19; 2 Peter 2:19). On the other hand, the ONLY real purpose for Yeshua's coming was to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21), to redeem us from all lawlessness (Titus 2:14), to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

Have you accepted Him as your Saviour - to forgive you your sins? If so, are you allowing Him to redeem you from all lawlessness - to deliver you from all wilful (intentional) transgression of the Law? If you are born again, then Yeshua is living IN you, IN your heart, working in you to "make you perfect in every good work to do His [Father's] will" (Hebrews 13:21). We read in nine places that the Messiah is living right IN the born again believer. We are further admonished to have the same mind as the Messiah (Philippians 2:5). He also keeps His Father's Commandments (John 15:10). His Father says to Him, "You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness!" (Hebrews 1:9 Greek text) What else is then expected of you and me?

Yeshua, the Great Revelator, reveals to us in seven places in His final message, the Book of Revelation, that the True Messianic Faith stands on two principles: to keep the faith in Yeshua and to keep the Father's Commandments. He says this directly so in Revelation 12:17 and 14:12, and using "Word" as a synonym for "Commandments", He repeats this in Revelation 1:2, 9; 6:9 and 20:4. And the 7th confirmation of this fact comes in Revelation 15:3 - 7 positive proofs in all!

On the negative side, He warns us about Babylon. In Revelation 17:9 He reveals that Babylon is Rome - and all Catholic authorities, and their Bibles agree! They all admit that Babylon is 'pagan Rome', and indeed, it is pagan Rome, for it was pagan Rome, under the leadership of Constantine, which took over the Messianic Faith in the 4th century. Messiah tells us this Mystery Babylon (Rome) has made the earth's inhabitants drunk with the wine of her fornication (Revelation 17:2), which they drank out of her golden cup "full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication" (Revelation 17:4). We all have drunk of this wine and millions upon millions are still drinking it! Messiah tells us in four places about her end-time plagues and final destruction.

He then commands us, "Come out of Her, My People, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receiver her plagues" (Revelation 18:4, RAV). 'Coming out' means to stop partaking of the sins, the "wicked abominations" which Rome brought into the Faith, and to repent of them.
